Gardening seminars are held periodically on hydrangeas and camellias. Experts talk about pruning, propagation and cultivation. Garden clubs and other groups are welcome to hold their meetings at the park and tour the gardens. PKP volunteers are available to provide information about the park and the history of the King Family. 

Volunteering at the park and gardens provides a strong educational element and is an excellent way to learn about plants since many of the volunteers are Master Gardeners or have strong gardening backgrounds.
