Thanks to the Junior League of Augusta, there are two beautiful new playgrounds in the park. One is a Tot Lot and the other one is for older children. They are located at the top of the park where they are readily accessible to parking and a restroom. Junior League members raised the funds for the playgrounds and, in addition, helped install them. 

The year after the Children’s Sculpture Garden was installed, the next class of fourth and fifth graders at Monte Sano Elementary built three musical instruments under the direction of an artist and the Art Factory. They are a part of the new playgrounds and the soft music can frequently be heard throughout the upper part of the park.
