2011 Plant Swap
All are welcome to attend the 14th Annual Pendleton King Park's Plant Swap and Sale to find new plants and pick up gardening wisdom on May 7. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Franke Pavilion at Pendleton King Park, and there is no admission fee. The park is located at 1600 Troupe Street.
Participants share plants and trade with other gardeners. Master Gardeners will be selling plants to fund improvement projects at Pendleton King Park. They will also be available to answer garden questions. People wishing to donate plants for the fund-raising sale to benefit the park are invited to bring their plants to the PKP Franke Pavilion Friday, May 6 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Individuals or groups wishing to sell their own plants or garden related items provide their own set up and are required to donate 10 per cent of their sales to the park.
Contact Kay Mills at 706 738-4321 (tkmills@knology.net) for more information.
The Plant Swap and Sale is a cooperative effort of the Augusta Area Master Gardeners, park volunteers and the Augusta Richmond County Recreation Department.
